Full Description:
Lord George Germain to General Sir William Howe. Whitehall. Regarding an expedition to Rhode Island and its potential for being in British hands. Also concerns the plans for the next operation having been set before the King, but that any forward momentum has been halted until letters from Howe ('shedding more light') have been received. Major Balfour in that time would be sent. Also mentions His Majesty's pleasure as to Doctor Morris being appointed Inspector of the Hospitals.
