Full Description:
Howe to Govenor Chester. New York. Concerning the receipt of a letter dated 30 August 1776, regarding a detailed account of the province Chester is commanding, and the enemies to the British Government. Also Regarding the accounts given by Mr Stuart of the Indian Nations and their dispositions. Howe hopes that Stuart's influence alongside Chester's will keep West Florida in quietness. Also Recommendation that a perfect understanding between the branches of power and that the most effectual exertions may be made for the suppression of the enemies.
