Full Description:
Captain Robert Mackenzie to Major-General Eyer Massey. New York. Concering Sir William Howe, desiring him to direct Lieutenant Clarke to discontinue the working of a colliery, to redirect the current coal supply to Halifax (Nova Scotia) as much as is needed to support them during winter. Any utensils, buidlings, or coal boats which cannot be removed are to be given into the care of the Barrack Master at Louisburg. Lieut. Clarke and his party are then to return to Halifax to render an account of the experience.
