Full Description:
Mackenzie to Massey. Concerning the appointment of a General Court Martial to try Lieutenant- Colonel Goreham on charges exhibited by Major Batt in an enclosed letter, and that proceedings will be transmitted to the Commander-in-Chief as soon as the proceedings are closed. Also concerns a commission for Mr Tonge to that of 2nd Lieutenant and also a list of recommendations for successions to be determined. Also orders a list of all casualties and changes in Gorehams Corps since 25 June 1776, with the dates of their commisions. Continues with details of pay in Nova Scotia and a general order to be made that the Provincial Corps should keep a regular account of their provisions.
