Full Description:
Burgoyne to Howe. Commenting on the 'scandalous defection' of his Indian auxillaries at Saratoga, a desertion or timidity 'worse than the desertion of provincials and Canadians'. Having been in a position to 'open a passage' to [Fort] Ticonderoga, diverting the forces that would have joined General Washington.
