General Sir William Howe to Lord Barrington. Letter from Philadelphia concerning promotions in the 60th Regiment and their newly raised battalions and the acquaintance made to Major Stopford stating that no further enquiry would be made regarding his conduct at the surrender of Fort Chamblie.
