Full Description:
General Sir William Howe to Lord George Germain. A letter from Philadelphia regarding the lack of requests for absence of leave to Britain by general officers, but also his impending removal. He also refers to the lack of an Aide-de-Camp for the Chief Engineers and advises of his own appointment of Captain Montresor for that position.
