Full Description:
Hardy Perry to [Farquhar Bethune]. A letter from the Chactaw [Choctaw] Nation relating to intelligence from a French source about a number of Americans coming up river to [New] Orleans, and this was confirmed by a French hunting party in a boat. Also stating that the Indians with them wanted to get back as they felt they had been out long enough, and it took a great deal of persuasion to make them stay a while longer as they lay in wait for the Americans.
