Full Description:
Captain Robert Mackenzie to Lieutenant Colonel Clerk. Philadelphia. Concerning directions that surveys on all stores should be undertaken by persons on oath reporting not only damage, but the cause, to prevent reoccurance. Damaged rugs and blankets are also to be assessed again in this way. Also damaged rugs and blankets permitted to be distributed amongst refugees, soldiers' wives and children, and those remaining to be made to answer for barrack and hospital use. Also regarding transports that will be sent to Halifax to bring off the 1200 Chaldron of coals. Coal ships to be subsequently discharged 21 days after arrival. Wood for New York and its dependencies to be supplied ready for the winter for at least 10000 men. P.S. General Massey is desired to settle Mr Clarks accounts and give him passage to England.
