Full Description:
Unknown to Mr. [Donald] Campbell. Point Coupee. Concerning the reports of the descent of the Americans, plundering of various men of position's homes, including; Harry Stuart, Cummins, Bouker, Carttess, Smith, and the houses of Walker and Alexander having been razed to the ground, their slaves having been mostly caught are also in their possession. The rebels are now thought to be moving down to Baton Rouge. It is thought, by the French, that the intentions are to plunder their way to Manshac who they consider their friends.
