Govenor Patrick Tonyn to Howe. St. Augustine. Concerning the arrival of Mr Kirkland after passing through part of the Lower Creek Towns as Deputy of the Superintendent. Rebel commisioners and agents have a powerful influence in the nation. The Seminoles preserve their attachment [to the Crown]. Will fulfill intentions in commissioning and embodying companies of refugee Rangers. Hopes His Excelency will continue to approve the steps respecting a Provincial Corps of them long since established for defense of the province.
