Full Description:
Alexander Ross to Colonel John Stuart. From New Orleans. Regarding an account of rebel movements and of their taking possession of land and property or destroying it. Also tells of John Stuart's brother who was forced to gain protection of the Spanish Fort at Manchac. The Corporal there stated that irrespective of the potentially $1000 ransom, he would protect Staurt with his last drop of blood [from the Americans and their allies], and that he was under the protection of the Spanish flag. Also concerns a proposal to halt the rebels, whose idea it is to take Pensacola.
