Return of the number and ranks of the officers and privates set at liberty who remained unexchanged, 9 March 1778. This includes the totals of the first three lists above, adding the privates. Another item is that of 1,701 Privates and 8 Officers returned by Howe for whom none have been sent back in exchange. The total of Officers, etc. is 35 and Privates 2,036

Return of officers, who are or have been prisoners at New York to be exchanged, 9 March 1778. A recapitualtion of numbers only of the foregoing showing those on Parole on Long Island, sick in the hospital, in New York, and who had deserted the parole. Including privates, 500 of whom were on the shipboard, 130 in the hospital and 11 in New York. Major-General Lee not included.
