Full Description:
Massey to Howe. Halifax. Discussion which includes goods purchased and sent to rebellious colonies, Fort Howe on St John's River being a great safe-guard to the province, and Fort Cumberland attended with many expenses. Commissions desired for Legge's Corps, the good will of the St John's Indians, and the attack Sir George Collier made at [Bayou] Manchac. 25 March, Captain Fitzherbert agrees to having a small schooner at the north-west Corner to prevent smuggling to the rebellious colonies.
