Full Description:
Germain to Clinton. Whitehall. Most Secret. The french King [Louis XVI] by his ambassador has signed a Treaty of Amity and Commerce with the 'Rebel Agents' at Paris. Encloses copy of message from the King and of the address of both Houses, which will fully inform him of the just indignation which this most offensive proceeding of the Court of France has excited. The King has taken resolution to avenge the insulted honour of this Crown and vindicate the injured rights of his people by an immediate attack upon the French possessions in the West Indies. Continues discussion on how orders are to be carried out with regard to the required men and their placements.
