Full Description:
George III to Clinton. St James's. Secret Instructions. The French King has signed a Treaty of Amity and Commerce, which George III describes as so unprovoked and unjust an agression on the honour of the Crown and the special interests of the Kingdoms. Resolves to make an immediate attack upon the Island of St Lucia in the West Indies. Discusses how Clinton is requested to take 5,000 men to carry out this enterprise.
