Full Description:
General Sir Henry Clinton to Brigadier-General Prevost and Governor Tonyn. Circular stating his return from Rhode Island where the besieging rebel forces had evacuated the evening prior to his arrival, and a proposal to send a regiment of 1,500 or 2,000 men shortly. Also says that the French Fleet, who had helped the rebels with that siege, may now be feared to be around Boston. Colonel Brown and the Indians had destroyed a number of settlements around Pennsylvania and caused many problems in that quarter. Hadn't had time to send a promotions list but would do so as soon as possible.
