Full Description:
Major-General Eyre Massey to Clinton. A letter from Halifax stating the proceedings of General Courts Martial promotions inthe Emigrants Corps as well as supply of recruiting money. The Deputy Quartermaster-General has pushed the coal business as no further instructions have been received. Halifax defences seemed strong enough to resist any attack due to engineers work on them. Information on sixty nine rebel prisoners sent from Newfoundland, and among them were a couple of very wealthy men trying to get their money out of the English Fund. Now awaiting news about time in America as has health issues.
