Full Description:
[General Sir Henry Clinton] to Richard Hughes, Lieutenant-Governor of Nova Scotia. A letter from Headquarters, New York acknowledging his letter of 6 [September], regarding an appointment. Intention of sending two battalions to replace marines that were required for Europe, and whose departure to England can be made on their replacements arrival in Halifax.
