Full Description:
Lieutenant-Governor Richard Hughes to General Sir Henry Clinton. A letter from Government House, Halifax acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 24 September, and was glad to know that reinforcements were being sent to replace the Marines, who left on 5 October. States that he doesn't agree that attack can be made from the sea but repeats the request made to General Lord Howe for gunpowder.
