Lind to Phillips. Cambridge. Memorial. Believing that his commission is by this time disposed of to Major Ackland in consequence of an agreement and resignation given in to Carleton before the troops left Canada. Begs leave to go to New York or Rhode Island on parole, or to remain behind the regiment until certain of his fate.
