Germain to Clinton. Whitehall. Acknowledges dispatches. Discusses Rhode Island and the necessity of destroying frigages so they did not fall into enemy hands. The expedition of Major-General Grey to destroy the rebel privateers of [New] Bedford , the success of the Rangers and Indians commanded by Colonel Butler, and the forwarding of clothing from Quebec for the troops of the Convention of Saratoga.
