Full Description:
Major William Souter to Major-General Eyre Massy. As the companies of the battalion of Marines under his command consist of 106 rank and file each, the Captains hope they many be allowed an additional horse as one is insufficient to carry the baggage, and that he will apply to the Commander-in-Chief to put them in this respect on the same footing as the battalion of Guards and Hessians serving in America.
