Clinton to Robinson. New York. Mr Crowder, one of the Contractor's agents will be able to explain to the Lords of the Treasury the impossibility of raising supplies by bills of exchange and the absolute necessity of sending out a quantity of specie. The agents have borrowed upwards of £80,000 sterling on their own security. There is not a single shilling in the military chest.
