Full Description:
McLean to Clinton. Halifax. Arrival of the 'Adamant' merchant ship from London with 500 barrels of powder. Requests a further supply. Encloses copy of a letter from the Secretary at War signifying that his regiment take rank as the 82nd. Mr Jeffries has gone to England but will return if confirmed in appointment. Has advanced Colonel johnson £250 on account of subsistence, his second application for £1,000 was refused. Desires instructions relative to issuing monies necessary for the public service.
