Full Description:
William Knox to Clinton. Whitehall. Allowances being made to Governor [William] Franklin [Loyalist brother of Benjamin Franklin], William Bayard and Samuel Bayard. If Clinton has also made them allowances he is to discontinue them from the time those made to them by the Lords of the Treasury commences. Also payment to Frederick Smith in lieu of his salary.
