Full Description:
Clinton to McLean. Most secret. Clinton notes that Nova Scotia is still peaceful, and promises to report news of any agitation in the New England Provinces. Also, having received royal commands to establish a settlement and erect a fort on the Penobscot River [Bay of Fundy], directs him to prepare materials for the building project and expresses hopes that it will be at Falmouth rather than at Penobscot.
