Full Description:
Clinton to McLean. New York. Establishment of post on Penobscot River, Lieutenant-Colonel Goreham and a detachment of 500 men (including the Orange Rangers) ordered to its defence. Expedition between Falmouth and the Penobscot River, and assistance to people of the navy employed in cutting masts in Bay Verte. Enclosed instructions for the officer who is appointed to command the detachment.
