Full Description:
Prevost to Clinton. St John's Island. East Florida. Rangers no longer to be distinct frorm the rest of the Provincial troops. Asks therefore that officers may have Provincial rank allowed them from the date of their former commissions. Recommends Lieutenant-Colonel Brown in particular. 1st and 2nd battalion of Innis's Regiment drafted into one and commissions given to officers when they raise the proportion of men. North Carolina Volunteers are nearly on the same footing. In case of an accident to himself, has appointed Prevost and Maitland to act instead of Porbeck.
