Full Description:
Lieutenant Governor Richard Hughes to Clinton. Government House, Halifax. Colonel Bruce having desired him to join in an application to the naval commaders for a ship of war express to New York, to inform of the present situation of distress and request a supply of money. Indebted to the Chief Justice of the Province and his brother for raising money by which the troops have now been paid. Encloses pacquets from Haldimand to be forwarded to England.
