Full Description:
[The Loyalist] George Rome (of Newport, Rhode Island) to Germain at John Street, Adelphi [London]. Memorial. Reminds him that in March 1777, His Grace of Queensbury delivered a memorial and sundry papers setting forth the cause of the memorialists sufferings. In December 1777 a memorialist delivered a copy of Lord Shuldham's certificate showing the sufferings and losses. Requests for fit and proper persons to examine to ascertain the losses in order that restitution or a certificate may be issued.
