Full Description:
James Milligan to Phillips. Charlottesville. Clarification that the letter signed by Mr Duane of the 28 June and delivered was an official one from the Board of Treasury of the United States, its intention being to introduce business and set forth the justice and necessity of demand which will be made. Demands immediate payment of the account for provisions for March, April, May, June, July and August, 1778 as settled at Boston, and amounting to £85,578 4s 8d sterling.
