Full Description:
Lord George Germain to General Sir Henry Clinton. Regarding the petitions of Captains John Brandon, Daniel Frasier, John Griffith, Esquier and Lieutenant Walsh, complaining about the fact that their officer commissions had been taken from them without any cause assigned or reimbursement. Germain referred them to Sir William Howe, but he had no recollection of the particulars, thus it was sent to Clinton. Makes mention that there are however twenty-three other officers of the same regiment of whom have been similarly dispossessed of their commissions. Requests that an inquiry is made into the situation.
