and 2169. Officers of the Independent Companies to Major Hierlihy. Charlottetown, Island of St John. Regarding the remote situation of the regiment must preclude. Captain McMillan being brought to a general court martial. Asks for him to memorialise Sir Henry Clinton to remove him. They would even contribute to his support. that there are several gentlemen who are willing to raise men to complete the different companies on his removal. Signed by 10 persons. See also annexed statement of McMillan's conduct.
