Full Description:
John Robinson to Clinton. Whitehall, Treasury Chambers. Acknowledgement of dispaches. His requisition on 11th May for £100,000 was answered before receipt by the sum of £200,000 in specie being sent out on account of extraordinanries and £92,644 9s 11d. Subsistence sent out with Mr Crowder in Admiral Arbuthnot's fleet. Asks for regular returns of the military chest extraordinaries, that their Lordships can can take care to send out (and prevent combinations of merchants from raising the price). Also concerning the two fleets recently dispached for New York of 30 vessels under convoy of Sir Andrew Hamond, a further fleet is now loading at Cork for the remainder of this year's supplies and next years are being proceeded with.
