Letter from Hector McLean, Oswegatchie of 15 September to Dr McLean, New York; and heads of letters from Butler and Bolton of 14, 16/16 and 20 September.The extract from McLean again regards the advance of the Americans, and the forcing back of Butler after obstinate resistance to the enemy. Sir John Johnson sends reinforcements of troops and Canada Indians.
