Full Description:
Germain to Clinton. Expresses mortification at hearing of the loss to enemy forces of the islands of St Vincent and Grenada. Local commanders are reluctant therefore to release troops and naval vessels from the vicinity for the defence North America. He goes on to congratulate Sir George Collier for his victories over rebel forces at Penobscot. 2325. Germain to Clinton. 'Seperate and most secret'. On the inducing of American rebels to desert for the plunder of Spain's dominions, and proposals to fit out the privateers at New York for the King's service against the Spanish in the West Indies.
