Full Description:
Francis McLean from his camp at Majebigwaduce [Maine] to Clinton. Garrison defence works interupted by the last rebel attack, thus unable to complete the defence of the fort this season. Expects further rebel activity as a force is collecting along the coast and fitting out at Boston, this place or Nova Scotia. Has given Captain Campbell of the 74th leave of absence owing to a broken thigh.
