Full Description:
Phillips Callbeck to Captain William Spry. Charlotte Town, Island of St. John. receipt and thanks for previous letter. Mr Wright's thanks for his appointment as acting paymaster. Since receipt of last orders, Hierlihy gave orders for five additional embrasures to Pattisons Battery, also a small breast-work in view of an invasion. Engineers stores demanded are much wanted, and return of stores in hand shall be forwarded with other papers. The masons Deane and Snigs shall be paid. The arrival of Colonel De Borche and 200 Hessians. Draws drafts in favour of Samuel Gay Esquire and Mr Peter Hall who have supplied him with cash. Certified true copy by W. Spry, Commanding Engineer, Halifax, 27th January 1780.
