Full Description:
John Cochran to Clinton. New York. Memorial. That in the month of August 1775 he was ordered to dismantle the Castle of William and Mary, New Hampshire and repair to Boston. That he was obliged to leave his family behind. They were detained prisoners until 1778, when they were allowed to go to Rhode Island and remain there until the evacuation. Asks rations, houseroom and fuel.
