Full Description:
McLean to Clinton. Halifax. Report on the situation after arrival at Penobscot. Encloses return, acknowledges letters. Has not yet been able to have any conversation with Mr Bridgeman realtive to the proposed plan for the Provincial Corps in this province. His Majesty's ship 'The North' sailed with three transports for the Spanish River, believes there is a considerable quantity of coals dug there. Begs money. Post Script, the inhabitants on the Penobscot River were not so well inclined to afford assistance as he could have wished. However with the rebel parties withdrawn, everything was in perfect tranquillity when he left the area.
