Full Description:
Germain to Sir Richard Hughes. Extract of a letter. Does not know what success the agent has had in his solicitation at the Treasury for the payment of Mr Francklins bills, but cannot encourage the expectation that any grants will be required from Parliament for defraying Indian expenses in Nova Scotia further than the continuance of Mr Francklin's salary. Should therefore the Commander-in-Chief authorise him to employ the Indians in any military service, he must apply to him for the means of defraying the expense.
