Full Description:
Alexander Cameron, Superintendent of Indian Affairs to Clinton. Pensacola. Discusses receiving a letter from Germain with regard to the authorisation and duties to act as Superintendent for the Choctaws, Chickasaws and other Indian tribes on the 'side of the' Mississippi. Inadequate establishment for defraying expenses, nothing left for the purchase of presents and provisions expected by the Indians. Apprehensive that Spanish will soon make an attempt on Mobile.
