Full Description:
Patience Johnston to Tryon. Petition. She is the widow of Augustus Johnston Judge of the Vice Admiralty for the Southern District. She has been obliged by the troops evacuating Rhode Island to leave her comfortable home and take refuge in New York with a family of five children. Begs some allowance. Countersigned by J. Marsh, Lieutenant-Colonel of the 43rd Regiment.
