Full Description:
[Major Beamsley Glasier] to Major-General Augustine Prevost. St Augustine. Asking to be recommended to the Commander-in-Chief for the vacancy in the 60th Regiment by the death of Lieutenant Colonel Fuser. Recounts his services since 1745. Carried dispatches to General Braddock who was killed two day later [on the Monongahela River]. Was appointed by Sir William Johnson to command 500 Provincials at Fort William Henry. Had the rank of lieutenant-colonel in the New York Provincial Forces.
