Full Description:
Prevost to Clinton. Savannah, Georgia. Since the death of Fuser, Brigadier General Patterson made application for several requisits to enable him to proceed up the River. Ordered immediate return of what remained in several magazines and found that Captain Moncrief had taken away every carpenter, except one, all the tools of use, and all the waggons with the best horses. Large cannons had been taken from the batteries and the best gunners with them. Laying the exact and actual state before His Excellency in case there were plans to push forward.
