Full Description:
Samuel Jarvis to Tryon. New York. Memorial. He and his family were taken out of their home at Stanford, Connecticut in the dead of night, stripped of everthing and put into whaleboats. They were landed on Long island at two o'clock in the morning. Consequent sickness has reduced them to the last extremity of real want. Asks a house, provisions and some small pay. Certified by Jeremiah Leaming.
