Full Description:
Clinton to [Sir James Wright]. Headquarters, Fenwick. Determined that the rebels have assembled their force at Charlestown [Charleston] so is reversing his former plan of a diversion in the back country. Calling for succours from Georgia. Desireing to send from Savannah under the command of Brigadier General Patterson the 71st Regiment, the Light Companies, the Legion Infantry, the North and South Carolinians and Fergusons and Yorks. The Corps to join as soon as possible. Asks Wright to hold out the movement to Augusta.
