Full Description:
Clinton to Tonyn. Stono Ferry. Discusses his operation against Charlestown [Charleston], and how as the rebels appear to have collected their force for the defence of the capital, he is obliged to also assemble his troops. As an ordnance vessel foundered on the passage to him with loss, requests any men that can be spared. Understands Tonyn is in want of ammunition.
