Full Description:
Alice Armstrong, widow and two daughters, to Major-General William Tryon. New York. Regarding a request for provisions since having been driven from their home and farm near Stoney Point, they have been unable by every industry to support themselves. She states that the British and the Hessians took possession of Fort Montgomery and Stoney Point and that they were plundered of furniture, farm stock etc, etc. Certified by two officers of the 17th Regiment and recommended by Chief Justice Smith.
